Sweetly Scented Candle
What is it that attracts food to cockroaches?
I really want to burn sweetly scented candles and oils in my apartment for a pleasant aroma. However, we have a double chin problem (partly because that on the first floor of the building), and wondered what charecteristic of food attracts cockroaches. For example, the sweet scent of my candles lead the cockroaches to believe that some foods (ie candy) where I'm really burning candles / oils. We put out traps, and plans to extinguish a tablet, but I would that the safety of using the candles will not attract more cockroaches. Thank you!
Cockroaches gather traces actually smell with their antennae. One can distinguish between the odor similar things to choose what they are looking for as easily distinguish between coins and quarters. The candles used to invite them. Otherwise, citrus has been used to offend and make the roaches away. A treatment that works well in almost any infestation of cockroaches is boric acid. This labeling under different names such as treatment of cockroaches (often called Roach-Proof), but it is a powder, and is blue or white.
